Something New on Mondays
My new series called Three Weekly Lights
Hello friends,
I hope you had a wonderful Christmas … and wishing you a Happy New Year!
I wanted to share an update on my writing at Substack.
Beginning Monday, January 5, I’ll be launching a new weekly series called Three Weekly Lights. Each edition can be read in five minutes or less and is meant to help us all participate more deeply in our ongoing transformation into Christlikeness.
I call it Three Weekly Lights because each Monday you’ll receive three simple offerings, all centered on a single theme:
One reflection from my own formation journey
One voice from the Christian tradition
One question to carry into the week
I use the word lights because these pieces are meant to offer a bit of illumination and clarity at the beginning of the week—nothing heavy or long, just something to help us notice God in the middle of our lives.
Alongside this launch, you’ll notice a shift in the look and feel of my Substack. I’ve redesigned it to align better with the cover of my forthcoming book from IVP (which I’ll be sharing soon 💥).
As part of this season, I’ll be moving my personal website (jonathanrbailey.com) off Substack as I prepare for the book’s pre-order phase. Substack will continue to be the primary home for Three Weekly Lights at threeweeklylights.com. You don’t need to take any action, and you’ll continue to receive these emails just as you always have. This shift is simply about giving each part of my work its proper place.
I’m grateful you’re here, and I’m looking forward to what’s ahead in 2026.
Happy New Year,
Jon

Love the new direction, Jon!
Looking forward to this!
